\n Cathine is a natural phenethylamine from the Khat (C. edulis) plant. While biochemically and behaviorally cathinone-like, cathine is substantially less potent than cathinones.{24502} It blocks dopamine uptake with approximately one-eighth the potency of cathinone.{24502} Cathine substitutes for (+)-amphetamine as a discriminative stimulus.{24502} This product is intended for forensic and research applications. It is regulated as a Schedule IV compound in the United States.
